Thoughts today:
The big 1st birthday is just over a month away. I feel a bit sad about it, but I'm excited for what's to come.
Ellie got her first big girl shoes.
Brian and I just looked at each other and said nothing when I tried them on her with her new dress. Brian broke the silence with "those shoes break my heart".
Reflecting a lot on the last year. How life has changed and bloomed.
A year ago, we were anxiously anticipating her arrival, unaware of all that she would mean to us.
And today - I'm still amazed that she is ours.
Isn't it funny that an entire year passes and you still say "wow, this is our beautiful baby!" (and she is very beautiful by the way). Hope all is going well with you guys!
ReplyDeleteYup, she's growing up. Now you know how I have felt for the last 28 years. She will grow up, but she will always be the little girl to you, just like you are to me. Treasure the days.
