Off to a Good Start

I got up this morning without hitting snooze. The mornings over the past - oh - seven months or so have been a blur of hitting the snooze button at least three times before dragging myself out of bed. This morning, despite Ellie waking up every two hours throughout the night, I managed to be up at 5:30 to work out. (I've been getting in workouts here and there in the evenings after Ellie is in bed, but I'm so tired by that point that I often find excuses to put it off.) There's no doubt I was tired this morning, but I always feel so great after working out - and my work day is more positive and productive. So, it's Monday and it was a great weekend - we were lucky to be able to spend it with family and friends. And, now, the week is off to a good start.

Brian and Grandpa Larry had a great time at the Twins game on Friday. Twins win!!! I got to have Ellie all to myself while they were at the game. She had a lovely time spitting her green beans at me during dinner and splashing around in the bathtub afterwards. Kayla made it here after Ellie was in bed, but the two of us sat up and talked for hours. It was so great to catch up and have a good girl talk about, well, practically everything.

We all had things going on pretty early on Saturday and were out the door before 8:30. Ellie had a music class with five other babies - it was so much fun to watch them interact. She was pretty unhappy with the teacher when it was time to give back her drum, but got her revenge when she drooled all over it just before letting go.

The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing - the weather was beautiful. We walked to the park to take advantage of the sunshine.

We also had dinner with friends, Nate and Jo, and their twins (our godkids), Elliot and Olivia. Love them so!

I even made it to the grocery store. Pretty much a perfect weekend.
