It's Finally Here!

Oh, thank goodness it's Friday! This week has been a struggle. The weather has been absolutely beautiful and we have not taken advantage of it as much as we would have liked. Ellie is getting over a cold that she picked up earlier in the week. She is also getting her two top teeth. Needless to say, we are not sleeping much (again).

But so much has happened! And by so much I mean, Ellie is crawling!



The first awkward scoots occurred last weekend and have been fairly consistent all week.



This girl is going places...

She has decided that she'll crawl when she feels like it. But if she's not in the mood, she'll look at either Brian or me and make a crying sound (I say sound because she is clearly not crying) and then look up at us and smile when we are about to pick her up.



She has us figured out.

Other than getting together with friends, Nate and Jo (and, of course, Elliot and Olivia), for dinner, we have stuck close to home this week.

The kids were excited to see each other - it had been a ridiculously long three weeks since we've seen them.

As it always seem to go, the things that made this week a bit of a struggle were muffled by the things that made it good.



And we look forward to a long weekend up north to enjoy bass fishing opener and Grandma Julie's birthday!



As we celebrate this Memorial Weekend, keep in mind the true meaning of the holiday. Despite our many differences, be thankful for all we have as a result of the sacrifices made by those who serve our country.
