Friday Snippets

The weekend is here! I'm looking forward to spending more than just a few short hours each day with Ellie. Oh, I miss her during the week! Every night as I lay her down for bed I realize that I haven't had my fill of her yet - not sure that I have ever had my fill of her but it's especially noticeable during the work week.



Changes are happening so quickly! She's not into baby food anymore - mostly just food she can feed herself. We're hearing new sounds and seeing new expressions daily.



And she is so close to pulling herself up.



It's amazing watching her grow and learn and discover. Everyday - she shows us something new and beautiful and I just can't believe that I'm the lucky one who gets to be her mama. Thank you, thank you, thank you - for letting me be the one.

Us with Mike, Kristi, & Cora. Kristi is one of my oldest friends. We became friends the summer before Kindergarten. And we both became first-time mommies to daughters within five months of each other - how great is that???

Today is Grandpa Larry's Birthday! And we get to celebrate with him tonight - Mexican food and homemade pie - and tomorrow evening we'll be heading to the Twins game.
