There are times when I am brutally reminded to be thankful for the simplest things.
Today, I am especially thankful for life. And for family.
Brian's brother, Chris, and his family live in Flagstaff. This week their home was destroyed by flash flooding. Just weeks ago, they had been evacuated due to an enormous wildfire that burned thousands of acres and left their home vulnerable to flooding.
Because of a 30-day waiting period, the flood insurance they had purchased in early July was not yet in effect.
See photos of the damage here. Photos 1, 9, and 10 are of their home.
Pray for their family. The days ahead will be difficult.
Chris, Randie, and Romie - I'm not sure that I have the words to express how grateful I am for your safety.
